NAME

net.conf - Sets the parameters for DNS checks used by the Sender Reputation feature group

SYNOPSIS

/opt/pmx6/etc/spam.d/net.conf

DESCRIPTION

The net.conf configuration file sets the parameters for DNS checks used by the Sender Reputation feature group. Enable rules associated with this feature group via the sender.conf configuration file.

skip_dns_checks
Disable DNS-based checks. Expects a boolean value.

Default: no

dns_timeout
DNS resolver parameters used by network-based checks. Sets the number of seconds to wait for a DNS query to complete.

Default: 2

dns_retry
When performing DNS checks, the dns_retry value determines the number of times PureMessage attempts to reach the DNS servers. This option works in conjunction with the dns_retrans configuration item.

Default: 1

dns_retrans
Set the initial retransmission interval for DNS queries.

Default: 0

dns_servers
Set a server or list of servers to use for DNS-based checks. If unset (default), pmx-milter spreads DNS-based checks accross all nameservers in resolv.conf regardless of priority.

This setting is useful for specifying a local caching nameserver (i.e. localhost) for improved performance of the DNS-based checks.

Default: none
